A pudgy, balding, middle-aged Boise State University professor who was put "on sabbatical" after drawing ire for his sexist comments at a conservative convention in late 2021 might not be the best (most appropriate) person in the room to give a talk to high school students on "The effects of feminism."
Scott Yenor spoke at Eagle High School Jan. 26 at the invitation of Turning Point Eagle, a club under the umbrella of Charlie Kirk's young adult outreach machine, Turning Point USA. (For just a couple notes on TPUSA see end of post.)
Within five minutes of opening his mouth, Yenor has young women in the audience booing as he swings a microphone cord out of the way and repeats the same words that he claims are now famous. These same words had many people, including former Idaho republican speaker of the house Bruce Newcomb (also known by the far right as a RINO) searching for ways to detach BSU from the rank misogyny of Yenor .
"Women are more medicated, meddlesome, and quarrelsome than they need to be," Yenor smugly declares.
This time, not to an audience of adults, but to an auditorium full of kids as young as 14. And they react as one might expect.
Most of the girls in the audience seem primed for the phrase and were ready to walk out. They boo and make their way out of the auditorium as young men begin chanting, "FREE TOP G", a reference in support for accused abuser and sex trafficker Andrew Tate who is currently being held without bail in a Romanian prison. Local news outlets reported boys telling their female classmates to, "Get back in the kitchen," and some parents were concerned "students were handing out flyers with pictures of guns on them" At least one young woman can be heard out of camera view yelling, "FUCK YOU!" FUCK YOU! ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?"
As the girls walk out and boys chant support for an accused rapist, Yenor stands on stage, clearly able to view to the upset and division his words cause and self-righteously quips,"I think what we just witnessed is evidence of my position."
The auditorium erupts in cheers. The remaining, mostly-male audience cheer as they scramble for seats closer too their new-found man-hero, fists raised and gleeful in their new-found and apparently school and state-sanctioned distain and dominance of their female peers. It feels excellent. Powerful.
Yenor tells the audience 45% of women who identify as liberal or very liberal have mental disorders.
Again the audience erupts in cheers, some students even standing in ovation.
Yenor repeatedly disparages the female students who stood up and walked away from his hate speech several times during his exercise of FREE SPEECH. Those girls who left - Those girls you probably don't want to date.
Again, uproarious cheers from the remaining audience. Also, something-something "not marriage material" Those crazy, loud-mouth, leftist girls proved his point: women are more quarrelsome and meddling than they need to be. They need medication.
Yenor also weirdly used the term "fruitful" many times during his short speech sounding a bit too much like Aunt Lydia from the Handmaid's Tale while urging students to focus on more on the "biblical" and earlier marriage. "Strong families cannot be built upon the principles of modern feminism." He bizarrely claims modern feminism removed prohibitions on incest and pedophelia. "Feminism is the great cause for eviscarating women," he claims. (Feminism had deprived women of their vital and essential parts?)
Action Idaho, which appears to be a far right disinformation outlet, called the walkout a "near riot" and suggested the girls should be punished for interrupting Yenor's speech. Action Idaho further claimed, "Turning Point USA Eagle High students were exemplary citizens. They were mature and self-controlled as the Leftists disrupted the event."
As Yenor's speech rapped up his fanboys were caught on video by Turning Point Eagle. "WE LOVE SCOTT!" they chanted.
A boy walks past the camera and sums up the vibe of the entire event, "FUCK THE WOMAN!" he says.
Turning Point USA: In October 2021 an audience member at one of Charlie Kirk's events asked in all seriousness, "When do we get to use the guns?... How many elections are they gonna steal before we kill these people?" Also, there was the completely inappropriate kerfuffle in the Summer of 2021 regarding MILF porn star Brandi Love being a VIP guest at their Student Action Summit for young adults. There's more, of course. But I'm tired and you get the idea.
